![]() Not very realistic or historically accurate. What I loved about it is that the game was so easy to hack to make it more realistic with the faster computers.Īt the beginning they would send you out escorting a couple dozen B17s. I think I played it on Win 98 so probably won't run on systems today.Įdit: Just checked and can get most of those old games on eBay. I loved that and played it to death, I think I still have it somewhere with EAW STAB. I rather have games without DRM's but if I have to because it's not available on gog I use Steam as my experience Steam compared to others like Origen, Uplay, Epic games etc etc has been good in my opinion but always fully understand the terms and conditions before you commit to buying something.Īnd in your case befor starting playing it I'd suggest if it's in a bundle to try each title by launching them and see if it works so if it doesn't you won't run into issues with refund policies how absurd they may be. Or you can use their goggalaxy program which is similar to steam in the way that it keeps your games up to date and have game's achievements if you care for them. I don't have issues with Steam but these days my primary store is GOG ( new games and classic games in digital copy but no DRM so you can store installers on external drives for safekeeping for example. I've personally had no issues with Steam, even had a CD key transfered with their help from my brother's account to mine when he accidently installed a game I purchased physically (but required steam to play) on his account. NEVER TRUST ANYBODY WHO WON'T GIVE YOU A PHONE NUMBER TO CONTACT THEM!! Should have known as soon as I saw all the automated selections on the refund screen my ass started hurting right then. "SO SODDY BUT YOU NO GET REFUND!! AT THIS TIME PLEASE BEND OVER SO WE CAN INSERT ROUGHLY!! "Īnd that was my first WELCOME to STEAM. IMHO I think it was an automated system that looked at my "total" gametime and applied it to the bundle as a whole and said. To be honest I don't think anybody took more than 5 minutes to even review my situation. So what do they do they added the time I was reading a file to my game time. The only thing I did was look at the expedition file for Sands of Kharak that I paid ANOTHER $5.95 for. All of a sudden they come back today saying that I play over 4 hours. Did not play it again because I did not want to violate the refund policy. At the time I only showed playing Desert sands for 2 hours no more. So instead of paying $65.00 for one game I asked for a refund. One that after much research I come to find cannot be resolved with my particular system. Then when I tried to play Homeworld remastered collection I got an OpenGL 3.3 issue. I played Desert Sands because I had never played it before and wanted to try it out. Well all I got for my trouble is screwed!! I was fully intending to download the game from Amazon which I usually do but decided I'd give Steam a chance. I didn't even know Sands of Kharak existed until I went looking for Homeworld Remastered game. (The one I really wanted from my past) and Desert Sands of Kharak. I purchased The game bundle of Homeworld Remastered Collection. I don't like being dismissed like I'm nobody and that how they made me feel. Don't really care if they like it or not. Software description provided by the publisher.I know this isn't about sub games but I thought it was relevant because from what I've read on these forums a lot of the games purchased are made thru STEAM.I was actually considering getting Cold Waters on their site until they did this to me.Anyway this is a post I just put on the STEAM forum page.
